PCA started out as a computer consulting services company in the 1990s. During 1995, it became more of my hobby website dedicated to computers and SCUBA diving. The name PCAR remained the same while the focus shifted to SCUBA.
I am Gary Truslow, an independent SCUBA instructor who teaches in the states of Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
If you are interested in becoming a SCUBA diver, or obtaining advanced, refresher, or technical SCUBA training, please read on.
My focus is on the NTEC, NAUI Technical Equipment Configuration. We start by developing the fundamental diving basics and discarding gimmics or gadgets that compensate for skill deficits. This is also referred to as a Hogarthian, or D.I.R. (Do-It-Right) configuration.
A diver trained in this philosophy is more comfortable in the water and therefore more likely to enjoy the dive and less likely to fight with their equipment. If you struggle to manage your gear in the water or constantly adjust to compensate for equipment shortcomings, you would benefit from this training.
Feel free or contact me by emailing info@pcar.com. I'll be happy to tell you more about the NTEC method of diving and how you can learn it from day one, or transition to it.
